Tasting Notes
Garnet in color, with pronounced aromas of black cherries dusted with cocoa powder and baking spices with hints of plums and dried earth. Medium body with flavors of black raspberries and currants supported by firm but elegant tannins that carry through the finish with lingering flavors of fruit leather.
The Wine
The wine was aged in 30% new oak, mostly French oak with a spattering of American oak for sweetness. It received 20 months of barrel time post-fermentation. This wine was filtered with a high-tech cross flow filtration technology for the cleanest and most stable resulting wine. The wine is vegan.
Vintage
This wine is sourced from our hand-chosen vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills and Red Mountain appellations. Some of the factors that contribute to this high quality fruit are the windswept landscape, the soil deposited there by the Missoula floods, the high summer temperatures that can be reached and the high quality of the plant materials in these vineyards.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs nicely with hearty meat dishes such as roasted lamb with grilled asparagus or for a meatless pairing try it with eggplant parmesan.

This wine is our flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley. The fruit is sourced from the prestigious Horse Heaven Hills and Red Mountain appellations. Warmer than other growing areas, the vineyards are cooled by persistent winds that comb across the desert landscape.
